Avon Lucas and N.W.O. keyboardist Chris Fischer has a show coming to Bethesda Blues & Jazz this Wednesday, March 30th.
Sunflare is a sextet that specializes in giving the mojito-flute twist to familiar classic and contemporary r&b songs, as well as playing traditional and modern latin jazz and “fusion” classics. The band covers material from Stevie Wonder, Spyro Gyra, Jeff Lorber Fusion, Steely Dan and Marvin Gaye to Snarky Puppy and Pharell, all meticulously arranged with an identity unique to the group. Sunflare likes to say that when describing their style, r&b also stands for “rice and beans.”
Joining them on the bill for the evening is the amazing Craig Alston Syndicate. Hear your favorite songs in a new incredible way as this all star group from Baltimore takes everyone in the room into new territory with their takes on everything from classic soul to Level 42, Bebe & Cece Winans and everything in between.
Legendary DC area guest vocalists will pepper the evening throughout as well!
Please come out and support real feel-good live music!
