Nia Amina Mae Brown  formaly  Marni M. Williams, Esquire defied all odds as a teenage mother when she graduated from Penn State University with a B.A. in Social and Behavioral Sciences. She later graduated from Temple School of Law with a Juris Doctor degree and practiced in the areas of corporate and commercial litigation, human resources, stock transactions and contracts. In June of 2002, Nia started a publishing company and released her first book, My Little Book of Poetry: as a one of a kind, limited edition collection. As one of the winners of the Power 99 Def Poetry Contest for her poem, Idolatry, she launched her spoken word debut on the air at the Philadelphia radio station, Power 99 FM on July 7, 2002. She released her poetry book in paperback in February, 2003 and has shared her poetry throughout the Delaware Valley and beyond, including Georgia, Florida, Washington, D.C. and California anywhere an audience would gather... churches, comedy shows, community events, private affairs, colleges, radio stations, poetry events and anywhere in between . Responding to requests from readers, Nia released her first poetry CD entitled, Marni Speaks, Marni Seeks Truth: in July, 2003. Nia has devoted her life to the submission of God’s will in using her testimony to inspire others. She speaks regularly as a keynote speaker, poet and workshop facilitator at churches and special events.  Nia Poet, Spoken Word Artist, Advocate, Inspirational Speaker and Orator.
