Mr. Hudson has worked with students all around the country teaching them the game of chess coupled with strategies for life using chess. In addition, he has completed extensive research on the game of chess and has found that chess promotes the use of critical thinking skills
Mr. Hudson would visits organizations and presents workshop to groups of students and adults introducing them to the game of chess as well as  workshop to teachers helping educators to implement chess cross curricular.

Chess players have to think ahead with every move they make. It takes patience, thinking it through, mental concentration, and focus – all of which are life skills students need to learn.

Orrin Hudson has recently had the opportunity to pique the interest of students as well discuss ways we can further implement a club or program in your school or organization hopefully leading to entering competitions and bringing home many awards and acknowledgements at LaSalle-Backus in northeast D.C.
