LaKesha D. Bankston-Glover, originally from Jackson, MS was raised in a military family living primarily in the Washington Metro Area. She received her education from St. Stephen's & St. Agnes School and her formal education from George Mason University, receiving a BA in Government and Politics. In her youth, LaKesha danced with the DC Youth Ensemble and later became a professional actress under the management of Linda Townsend.

With a love for makeup she was a Mary Kay consultant for 8 years before stepping out on faith and fulfilling her dream of becoming a Free Lance Makeup Artist, trained at the Bennett Career Institute in Washington, DC. LaKesha performed makeovers at a battered women's shelter and noticed how a little eye shadow, blush when delivered with love and encouragement could help turn a woman's thought about herself completely around. LaKesha currently works as Policy Analyst for the Federal Government, is the proud owner of LaKesha's Inspiring Looks, and is also the Co-Owner of Trinity Weddings & Events.

Mrs. Paulette Jones has been educating and empowering students for over 30 years, starting at Eastern Senior High School where she was named their teacher of the year in 1980.

Twenty-six years ago, Jones began a school sponsored club called Young Black Women (YBW) that was birthed, as a group of 15 African American students felt left out of their school community. YBW invited guest speakers, went on field trips, and received recognition in local newspapers and was spotlighted on BET television on 3 occasions. YBW later evolved into what is now known as the  DREAMS club which stands for Dedicated Responsible Enthusiastic And Motivated Student, that included boys as well.
