Yeou-Cheng Ma and her husband Michael Dadap own and run The Children's Orchestra Society.  Yeou-Cheng, the sister of Yo-Yo is an accomplished violinist as well as a Pediatrician.  Michael, who has a collection of stringed instruments from the Philippines, is their Artistic Director and Conductor. 

Yeou-Cheng and her brother, both of Chinese descent were actually born in France both coming to the US at a young age due to their talents. 

The Children's Orchestra Society, founded in 1962 by Dr. H.T. Ma, is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to "teaching the language of music" to children and teens. Our mission is to cultivate and nurture children and teach them teamwork and life skills through music-learning and performing in orchestral and chamber music settings. Members of COS receive excellent training in classical music and opportunities to perform in concerts with their peers as well as with well-established musicians.

24th Annual Discovery Gala, Thursday, May 24, 2018 Concert and Reception at the Danny Kaye PlayhouseHunter College of the City University of New YorkPerformance will be by The Young Symphonic Ensemble featuring Tomoya Aomori (marimba) and Pei-Wen Liao (violin) and will be conducted by YSE Principal Conductor Michael Dadap.
