Born and raised in Harlem, New York, Mecca’s love for journalism and entertainment flourished while attending college at SUNY Old Westbury, she learned the inside of the business while interning at MTV. After graduating college, Mecca continued her journey into the entertainment world, promoting parties, fashion shows and conducting interviews throughout the city. She was one of the featured journalists in the Throwback Comes to Harlem series, where she interviewed 90’s R & B sensation, Christopher Williams at the world renowned Apollo Theatre. In 2008, she let her voice be heard in politics, rallying behind Barack Obama’s campaign by speaking to urban communities about the importance of voting. The Mecca James Show is sure to thrill with candid conversations from Music, Fashion, Politics and everything in between. Mecca James is destined to be one of radio’s dominant voices
