JOIN ME TUESDAY 2-16-21. AT 7PM. EST. for CONVERSATION OVER COFFEE - QUESTION - DID YOU FORGET TO BREATHE? Many take the ability to breathe in-and-out every day for granted. I mean did you give any thought to the fact that you are breathing today?  It comes so natural (so we think) that often it is not even a thought. My goal today is to impress upon you that there is a difference in the act of breathing and consciously breathing. My question is simply this, DID YOU FORGET TO BREATHE TODAY? While lying helpless in bed for almost 30 days I had time to consider my next. We often make promises to God and man when we find ourselves struggling. During my fight with Covid I was reminded that important to get through anything in life is to breathe. One night I could barely breathe and fear began to set in. Realizing that I had to get on the other side of this thing or I would have to go to the hospital my mind was flooded with what to do. I had heard so many negative outcomes from friends and family going to the hospital with Covid, I knew I could not go there. A scripture came to my mind that night. Genesis 2:7, "Then the LORD God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being". When I read this scripture it connected in me the necessity to breathe and where breath came from. Eventually another thought came to my mind (that I now know was God) of how after major surgery, often you are given this thing to blow into to clear your lungs... I had no idea at the moment what it was but I could envision it. I knew I needed to take deep breaths. I felt it so strongly. Even now tears come to my eyes at the thought of that night. It was a breakthrough moment for me. Post covid I have discovered that the device I envisioned that night is a Manual Incentive Spirometer. #Breathe
