Sports Night with The Maverick

   The Maverick will tap into his sports past and bring forth what should be an interesting segment of Maverick Media (on BTR).

   During the first segment, Battinto Batts Jr., a former newspaper reporter and BTR host of The Batts Report, will discuss with The Maverick some of the reaction to the recent conditional reinstatement of NFL player Michael Vick. We'll also delve into maybe one or two more topics.

   Bowling is very much a part of The Maverick's past. Yes, he was a 200-plus average bowler at one time and he competed on a couple of PBA Tour Regional stops as a non-member.

   The PBA Tour will be kicking off its 2009-2010 tour in August with its inaugural World Series of Bowling. The event runs from August 2 through September 6 in Detroit. Scheduled guest: Chris Barnes, who was the PBA's Player of the Year for the 2007-2008 season; he's also a 12-time champion and future PBA Hall of Famer.

   NOTE: Initially scheduled was Tommy West, head football coach at Memphis. Coach West had a personal matter to attend to in Georgia; we are working to reschedule him for another show during August.
