Gay Annapolis Delegates Mary Washington & Luke Clippinger

Our two new gay delegates in the Maryland House of Delegates are the guests on this edition of Maryland Gay Radio: Mary Washington and Luke Clippinger.

Mary Washington, is the Delegate for the 43rd District. She also serves as Associate Director at an urban environmental education organization. Included in her district are Charles Village, Waverly, Guilford, Morgan Heights, Lauraville, Montebello and Govans.

Luke Clippinger, represents the 46th District in the House of Delegates and serves as an assistant state's attorney in Anne Arundel County. His district encompasses such neighborhoods as Canton, Little Italy, Ridgeley's Delight, Brooklyn, Curtis Bay, Highlandtown, Butchers Hill, Federal Hill, Fells Point, Patterson Park, Otterbein and Locust Point.

Both were on the floor, part of the debates and have insight into what happened to skuttle attempts to bring marriage equality to Maryland.
