A win in the U.S. Open Cup in Miami felt good but that was unfortunately followed by a tough road result that was close late and then suddenly wasn’t close anymore. We give both matches an autopsy. We’ve also got some USMNT and USWNT matches to discuss, plus the USSF hires its first general manager, Patrick Vieira leaves MLS and I hate short corners.

To help us prepare for Orlando City’s match in Montreal on Wednesday, we’ve got Paul Vance from Mount Royal Soccer with us this week. Paul talks about the Impact’s season so far, whether or not Ignacio Piatti will be sold, and whether Dominic Oduro is out of favor with Remi Garde.

This week’s mailbag had some great questions that we did our best to answer honestly and with great consideration. Plus, we gave our predictions and key match-ups for Orlando City at Montreal Impact.

If there’s something you want us to address on our next show, just ask by tweeting it to us @TheManeLand with the hashtag #AskTMLPC.

Here’s how show No. 129 went down:

0:12- The Lions finally won a game but then they turned around and lost again. We’re breaking down both matches, plus the USWNT, USMNT, Patrick Vieira’s departure, and more.

49:43- Paul Vance joins us to tell us what’s going on with the Montreal Impact and what we can expect from our northern neighbors on Wednesday.

1:08:48- Our mailbag discusses beer and soccer, and we give our key match-ups and predictions for Montreal.
