Charlene Amoia is one of the most versatile and charming actresses on the rise garnering praise for her ongoing fan-favorite recurring role as ‘Wendy the Waitress” in the popular CBS comedy, “How I Met Your Mother.” Having been seen in countless commercials and dozens of television series, Amoia is constantly captivating TV viewers across the nation.  Her most recent appearances include roles on Showtime’s “Shameless,” Fox’s “Glee,” CBS’ “Mad Love” and ratings hit “NCIS: Los Angeles.” Originally hailing from Buffalo, NY, Amoia fell in love with show business after her family relocated to Las Vegas where she began modeling and ultimately graduating from the University of Las Vegas with a Marketing degree.  Once modeling parlayed into commercial opportunities, she made the big move to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career full-time and has worked steadily since. After earning a recurring role on the “General Hospital” spin-off, “Port Charles” for ABC, she went on to appear in an array of memorable small screen roles including “Dexter,” “House MD,” “Nip/Tuck,” “My Boys,” “90210,” “Criminal Minds,” “Trust Me,” “Castle,” “The Closer,” “Eastwick,” “Mind of Mencia” and “Joey.” She has also had recurring gigs in daytime’s “Young and the Restless” and “Days of Our Lives.” Although no stranger to the big screen, her most notable role was having co-starred opposite Will Smith, Rosario Dawson and Woody Harrelson in the critically acclaimed feature “Seven Pounds.”
