Renee Baribeau, founder of the Desert Holistic Network, is a trained shaman. Her book The Shaman Chef placed in the top 25 in The Next Top Spiritual Author Competition in 2010. Writing and Shamanism have been healing in her recovery from alcohol and drug abuse. Stephanie Gunning, founding director of Get a Book Deal Coaching, is a transformational writing coach and author. Former senior editor at Bantam-Doubleday-Dell, she has contributed her skills and talents to hundreds of books, including several New York Times and national bestsellers. Her clients include Gregg Braden, Hale Dwoskin, and Arielle Ford, among others.

  Renee and Stephanie will share with you how, in Shamanic traditions, a vision quest is an initiation, a rebirth into a new role in life, as well as a way of making contact with guardian spirits or guiding forces.
