The power for good that Hollywood and filmmaking in general holds is really mind-boggling. When we sit and watch a well-made movie, we absorb the experience just as if we lived through it in real life. So the inspiration can be very effective in transforming our perspective on life and our belief in our own potential to achieve great things. Unfortunately, the potential to shut down awareness and twist the truth is also present in this powerful medium, and that is the one being used relentlessly by Hollywood, to support the agenda of high level world rulers and their destructive goals. But some of the private film makers are still determined to use their craft for education and upliftment of their audiences, for the good of the world. Joseph Piner (www.cinefocusmedia.net) (IMDb) is one of those.
Joseph's film "Electronic Crack" (https://electroniccrack.weebly.com/) shows how Americans and people all over the world are being intentionally addicted to the drug of electronic devices, damaging their ability for real human relationships and disconnecting them from the world around them. The film just recently opened in select private showings in America, and will be showing in film festivals in the near future, as well as screenings in more US cities. This Sunday Joseph will give us an inside look at the film's characters and the information that is conveyed. I want to talk with him about why and how to break this addiction in our own lives, before it becomes too difficult to do so.
