BIBLEBOOKCLUB: OT: Ezekiel :12:1-14:11, NT: Hebrews 7:1-17, Psalm: 105:39-45, Proverbs: 27:3 Sharleen Andrews In Today's NT Scripture, God gave a message and an example to Ezekiel for the remnants still living in Jerusalem. Ezekiel had been giving them messages that they, too would be exiled to Babylon, but they wouldn't listen to him. God told Ezekiel the people were rebels and would not embrace the truth. They would not listen to Ezekiel's messages from God. They refused to ask God for help. So God made Ezekiel give them an example so the people could have a visual idea of what God was saying. Ezekiel packed what he could on his back and escaped from Jerusalem while the people watched him. The people refused to listen to God but embraced the false prophets who told them what they wanted to hear. FRIENDS, RIGHT NOW, PEOPLE ARE LEAVING THEIR COUNTRIES TO FIND PEACE AND A PLACE OF SAFETY, JUST LIKE IN EZEKIEL'S DAY! GOD PROMISED THEM SAFETY IF THEY WOULD STAY IN THEIR OWN LAND AND HONOR AND TRUST IN GOD! BUT THEY REFUSED TO LISTEN TO GOD! LETS TRUST GOD TODAY AND SERVE HIM ONLY! Proverbs 3:5-6 (TLB) If you want favor with both God and man, and a reputation for good judgment and common sense, then trust the Lord completely; don’t ever trust yourself. 6 In everything you do, put God first, and he will direct you and crown your efforts with success.
