Born in Bucharest, Romania as Eva Zimmermann, Haya Leah Molnar's Hebrew name and Jewish identity were hidden from her in order to protect her against anti-Semitism. When she was ten, she and her family escaped the Communist regime and emigrated to Israel, and later to the US. A copywriter and creative director in advertising, she now writes full time in New York City, where she lives. This is her first book.
