About my guest

Tamsin Astor is a survivor. In 2008 she was married with two young boys and had recently left London for St. Louis and eventually, Cleveland, Oh. She also moved out of the world of academia and into the world of Neuroscience, yoga, and writing. She was living the entrepreneurial immigrant dream.

  • Then she found out her son had cancer.
  • She found out her children had ADHD and dyspraxia.
  • Her husband, who would eventually leave, struggled to get tenure on the job.

In short, life was happening and Tamsin found she was not taking care of herself in order to take care of others.

It was when she discovered Ayurveda - the 6000-year-old Indian medical system which translate as "the science of life," that she was first able to stabilize her daily routines and habits.

In our episode, she shares these practices and a whole lot more to help us show up more present and live life more fully.
