Tsitsiwu - Participate in a Holistic Healing TreatmentPlease join my interview with Martha Y. Tsitsiwu, Certified Holistic Health Counselor from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City. She decided to become a Holistic Health Counselor after recovering from a car accident she was involved in, in May 2004. In result, she had to undergo triple brain surgery. She was discharged from Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, Maryland with the aid of a walker. She had to learn to walk and care for herself all over again at the age of 48. She pursued further healing through alternative medicine, mainly acupuncture treatment followed by the Bowen technique. Through acupuncture, her organs were detoxed from the different medications used on her during and after her surgeries. Her organs were rebuilt with the aid of different vitamins that enabled the organs to heal and communicate with each other and function in harmony. Through this healing process, her system became very sensitive to processed foods and medications. Her diet changed immensely as she started juicing vegetables and fruits for her vitamin and mineral intake. Martha returned to work a year and half later completely healed and walking without a walker or a cane. She was born in Ho, Ghana, West Africa.  Her parents were in the foreign service for the Ghana government.
