The youngest of 4 siblings, Rhonda’s first love for music came from her father, Willard, who played the saxophone in the 60’s and 70’s. Jazz was one of his favorite genres. After the tragic loss of her mother in 1976, Rhonda’s grandparents, the late Quinton L. and Rachel Cooley Edwards, relocated both her and her siblings to Chesterfield VA. As a descendant of Eartha Kitt, her musical talent and acting abilities came naturally. At the age of 6, Rhonda sang her first solo debut at The Baptist Children’s Home of V.A . She was a very creative and energetic child. “A Great Big Beautiful God” was accompanied by her aunt, the late Estelle Katie Bohannon. She attended Swansboro Baptist church located in Richmond, Va., Coming from a family of gifted and talented musician, it all began at Union Branch Baptist Church located in Chesterfeild V.A., where she was baptized at an early age. She was very active in the church participating in Sunday school and VBS, as well as taught a youth Sunday school class at the age of 11. Rhonda developed a love for gospel and inspirational music, nurtured by her aunt Apostle Francine Cole, who has her own ministry, Bible Covenant Believers In Christ Deliverance Ministries, located in Petersburg, Va. Her aunt adopted Rhonda and cared for her as though she was her own child. At the age of 12, Rhonda and three of her cousins formed a group called The Precious Jewels. The group then sang at various venues throughout the Petersburg tri-city area, with one favorite, “Hard Fighting Soldier” led by Michael Cole. Al-Haqq               Her name is NurJehan Abdellah Al-Haqq which means "Light of the World"; but she prefers to be called Nur for short. Nur was born on August 9, 1975 in Detroit,MI.  She was brought up in the Islamic faith until she gave her life to the Lord in June of 1996.  She became a single mom at the tender age of 18 and gave birth to a beautiful son who is named Hasan.  Hasan is now 21 and is serving in the U.S. Army Reserve.  During Nur's walk with the Lord she became paralyzed on October 19, 1997 when she was assaulted in a domestic violence altercation. Her neck was broken which resulted in permanent damage to her spinal cord.  By the grace of God she has recovered much of her physical strength and has been able to walk, work and go to school.  Nur just completed her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology on December 12, 2014 from Austin Peay State University.  She is now engaged in motivational speaking and is also an advocate against Domestic Violence.  Nur has appeared on several radio and T.V. shows as a special guest and will continue to share her testimony to inspire others as she feels led by the Lord. While in LA she met up with her now ex-husband Terry Lewis of which she had met previously in Texas at a Prince concert. In 1984 they moved to Minneapolis Mn and got married. Her daughter Chloe was born that same year. Being married to Terry Lewis gave Gwen great opportunities to sing background vocals for Alexander O'Neal,Janet Jackson and many other secular artist. Gwen even sang background on the theme song of the hit comedy show "In living color". She divorced in 1991,her life began on a downward spiral out of control. Gwen began looking to the world to fill the emptiness she felt inside. This resulted in a string of mental and physical abuse relationships. In 2003 she began seeking and exploring religions. On Easter Sunday 2003 Gwen attended services at Bread of Life church in Minneapolis Mn and gave her life over to the Lord and from there started her new journey of getting to know God personally.
