Evan Falchuk counts on MA voters being tired of Dem and GOP. The lawyer/health-care executive runs for governor with his United Independent Party. Of course, we'll ask him how he figures to win.

He has set out distinctive platform planks, including replacing out flat tax with a progressive form, measuring and ensuring pay equity in MA government, catching up on infrastructure maintenance and funding new projects the public really wants, and renewed focus on rebuilding our manufacturing economy. He says our revenue problems are from misallocation not fraud/waste/abuse. He has strong transportation ideas like finishing South Coast Rail and adding commuter rail in the Pioneer Valley.

He is big on ideas and thinks the time is right to shift voters to his new party.
