This week we talk to Bob Kendrick of The Negro Leagues Baseball Museum. This is the museum's 25th anniversary serving the public. The museum chronologically charts the progress of the Negro leagues with informative placards and interactive exhibits. We talk about Jackie Robinson Day and the movie "42" which focus in on Jackie's career in 1945 - 1947. We talk about the Buck O'Neil award as well as Andrew "Rube" Foster influence on negro league baseball, Bob talks about Josh Gibson and his thoughts on how Josh felt not being the first negro league player to play in the major leagues. Of course we also talk about the museum and how important it is that it to baseball, american history and the negro leagues and so much more.
