Laurie A. Couture, author of Instead of Medicating and Punishing, discusses that human beings are wired to learn. Everything that children do, at all times, is learning. Children do not need to be held in a building five days a week in order to learn; they learn best when playing on their own. Children do not need to be taught "how to learn"; adults must be taught that it is impossible for children NOT to learn. As long as humans have the brain hardware, learning is a constant.
