Today I read headlines that support my assertions that the Republican Party in Washington DC and here in Texas is at war with itself because the Republican Party deliberately acted to alienate the Latino vote and embrace the radical white supremacist Tanton Network motivated Tea Party. My assumption has been that the Republicans who try very hard during the campaign season to sound like Tea party types by touting harsh anti-immigration agendas like by the Tea party types by utterly offensive to Latinos then the Republicans, during the legislative season, try to fend off attacks on their leadership. Funny, how the GOP, knowing the Tea party types have knives aimed at their backs, continue to try and placate and pander to these racist bigots like Steve" The Bigot" King and his ilk like Pete Sessions of Alabama in the US Senate. It is both a foolish strategy by the Republicans and continues to be very offensive to Latinos in America. But I also read some news that indicates that some Republicans, like Greg Abbott of Texas, seem to have been able to recover some of those lost Latino votes. I note there are extenuating circumstances and also qualify that the gains Abbott found were only a small percentage. Finally, I read an expose' of the horrible conditions that meet young mothers and their children in the detention facilities of Immigration services of our nation under the dubious leadership of Obama. This expose' is very sad but also very important and I hope you all will read it. It is among the greatest tragedies affecting Latinos in America today. LatinoTalk Texas is news, issue and interviews important to Latinos in America.
