LatinoTalk Texas is news, issues and interviews important to the American Latino. The looming global economic crisis is today's subject. Although I am not an economist I see important and powerful economies all around the globe are facing or already in economic recession. Some are in a depression and I see America, with weak economic growth, prime to fall also into recession. Here are the reasons. I have read reports the last several months that France, England, and now Germany are either in a recession or facing one. Today, I read articles confirming those observations. Furthermore, I read an article that indicates that Japan is also in a recession as well as emerging the economies in Brazil and Latin America. I read an article that indicates that England's recession is actually a depression and then read economic outlook for America in 2015. It seems there is little confidence in the American economic growth. In fact, I read an article that reports the US economy is not expect to grow much and the concern is that consumer confidence, never recovered like the economy, will contribute to the coming economic malaise. I am very worried about these signs especially from the Latino perspective because Latinos in America work for a living and do not rely on welfare or other subsidies as much as others. Therefore, it will be Latinos who will suffer the most if the economy falls off again. In a final note I am very excited about NASA's launch tomorrow of the test flight of the new Orion space capsule.
