Nelson InterviewOn August 8th 2004, 21 year old Jennifer Sugar attended a pivotal event in Hollywood that set her on the path toward co-authoring her first biography titled, John Holmes: A Life Measured in Inches. The event, "Fit for a King" was a posthumous, honorary 60th birthday celebration for Holmes, whereby Sugar, a Michigan university student, networked with several people who proved to be instrumental in helping her to accomplish her goal. Ironically, Sugar was only 5 years old when Holmes passed away in 1988, at age 43, from AIDS-related causes. Approximately two and a half years later, after meeting online through their mutual interest in their subject, Sugar invited 49 year old Canadian hearing instrument specialist and mother of two, Jill Nelson, to co-write the biography. The two authors began to forge their unique collaboration. Interestingly, neither Sugar or Nelson had any previous affiliation with the rated xxx movie industry, yet, they succeeded in establishing trust and confidence within the adult entertainment community. Sugar and Nelson researched their subject extensively, while conducting interviews with 35 people who had known, worked with, and/or loved John Holmes. Presented as an oral history, their intensive project consisted of compiling their own new interviews with previous interviews, along with other resources, in order to produce the consummate and comprehensive: A Life Measured in Inches -- the first biography about the erotic film legend and pop culture icon. At an impressive 584 pages, "Inches" contains three photos sections (including rare nudes), 114 feature film reviews and 86 loops synopses, all viewed and written by the two authors. Sugar and Nelson worked diligently to generate the current 21 page filmography, encapsulating data from Holmes' earliest film work. Adult film historian, William Margold, contributed the book's Foreward, "Hard Core Martyr". My name is JW Parvin. I guess it all started for me at a young age, when I was asked to join the church choir in my small hometown. Soon enough, I was asked to do solo's. I was very nervous at first, but soon my love for performing overtook my "jitters". I remember singing my mom's favorite hymn "O' Victory In Jesus". As I got older, I was always the boy in the mirror rehearsing with a hairbrush and belting it out with the radio. Later in high school, to my surprise, I was asked to lead some guys in a talent contest! We did a cover of George Strait....HAD A BLAST...but, did not win!!! Some of my favorite memories, are of having my friends over and singing along with the radio as if we were putting on a show. Growing up, my Mom and Dad had a place on a lake for years and in my teenage years I would sneak out to the bar and sing with the band. For me, there was nothing like the feel of being on stage in front of a crowd!!! I would get so caught up in the music that I would find myself on top of tables, doing my best to get the crowd involved and on their feet. I have to say... It worked well too. Eventually is discovered Karaoke contests and to my amazement, I won the second one i ever competed in. I really love to entertain. After winning several contest, I then put together a band and started doing live shows practically every weekend, and sometimes twice per weekend. The tremendous praise I receive from a great performance is so flattering to me even after all these years. I have quite a few loyal followers, who keep me inspired. To me there is no better feeling than putting life into words through my music. I guess thus far the highlight of performing for me was playing at the Talladega Super Sppedway for the campers and race fans. When you have thousands of music lovers singing with you and cheering you in it is beyond a natural high and there is no comparison. To take my talent to a higher platueau.01:00:00KNIGHT RIDER RADIOnoMusic,Talk,Knightman,Guest,Live CallsPleasure to meet you, allow me to introduce myself.... My name is JW Parvin. During his early years it was discovered that music would play a life long role in is life. As a young child he was exposed to the sounds of Ray Charles, B.B. King, Dinah Washington and a host of other great jazz, blues, and R&B artist from his father. His mother , on the other hand had him listening to the likes of Bob Seger, Charley Pride and Conway Twitty! At the age of 10 he started singing on a local church choir, as well as learn to play the organ, saxaphone and guitar. At the age of 17 he joined the U. S. Marine Corps, where he thought he had found is true calling....being a U. S. Marine. The music, however, remained a soothing and motivating force throughout! In 2000 Billy started driving truck. Driving along the highways of America at night, ideas of songs, life on the road, loves lost and had, started working their way into his thoughts. While singing remained a major part of his leisure time, it wasn't until he saw Travis Tritt and Ray Charles together on CMT's "Crossroads", that he discovered his passion for the stories told through Country music. In 2008, he recorded his first demo in Nashville, a cover of the Travis Tritt classic "Anymore", as well as "Too Far To Turn Around". Now Billy knew what he wanted to to do. In March of 2009, working again with Mark Mosley and some help from Gary Paxton in Branson, Missouri, he hit the studio again. The result being his current debut CD, "Truckload Of Load". A collection of "trucker friendly" songs, as well as songs that present a very traditional, yet contemporary sound.01:00:00KNIGHT RIDER RADIOnoMusic,Talk,Knightman,Guest,Live CallsBilly James Clayton was born and raised in Flint, Michigan. With a voice born in rock and roll and stained by whiskey her powerful energy on stage and raw vocal talent of twenty years is the kind of talent ready to make her own blazing trail in the music world. Breaking From The Shadows is an aptly titled first effort for the Milwaukee-based KatieBeth. The album opens with the bluesy, swirly, hip swinger "I Will Survive" that's based on a guitar hook very reminiscent of Carrie Underwood's "Before He Cheats." The album slides along without much fanfare for a bit, but the highlights are definitely in the middle. -I am a singer, songwriter I grew up in Merton, WI. I love to sing, dance, perform, write music and pretty much anything that involves me on stage The music I am inspired to make is rock all the way, with influences from Keith Urban, Heart, Bon Jovi, Saving Jane & Sugarland. This album/my music is rock, with the hints of country throughout. It is something different, and new, and I am so proud of this music, it is me in every line and guitar lick. Natalie, the 22-year-old San Diego woman who is auctioning off her virginity to the highest bidder, will likely turn charity spokesperson. Natalie tells Scandalist she has been approached by several charities who work to promote women’s rights to be a spokesperson on their behalf. “It’s really an honor,” Natalie says of being approached to help organizations who assist women in need. “One helps women forced into prostitution and another helps women who have suffered genital mutilation,” she says. Having Natalie on their team can certainly help bring attention to their cause - and Natalie hopes the attention will be largely positive. Natalie put her virginity up for sale last year with the help of Moonlite Bunny Ranch owner Dennis Hof, and her story quickly became a media favorite. She soon was flying all over the country to sit down with Tyra Banks on her talk show, and do tons of print, radio, and television interviews. The bids for Natalie’s virginity quickly reached $3.8 million - and the payout won’t stop there. Natalie has been flooded with book and movie offers and even a reality TV show. In addition, several large corporations have approached her regarding being a company spokesperson. As for the auction, the highest bidder won’t necessarily win. “She wants to be comfortable. There are a few people she likes. She has been talking on the phone and emailing with several men,” Dennis tells Scandalist. One man in particular appears to be a top contender. Derek has always has a love for music; from the earliest of ages, he listened and sang along to music whenever he could. He began his musical journey taking piano lessons at 8 years old, and played for several years. He soon took a liking to the drums and began taking lessons and eventually was afforded the opportunities to play with several successful local bands around the Finger Lakes area. A few years later on a trip to Mississippi to visit his father, also a budding guitarist and singer, his father convinced Derek to give singing a shot. He belted out to a karaoke track, and discovered that he really could sing! Derek landed a job as lead singer for local band favorite Bad Habit. Though it was a rock/classic rock band and not ideally what he wanted, the experience he gained from being a part of that band was invaluable! Derek moved on to form the band Southern Drawl, the country band he truly desired, and sang with them for about nine months, but was fortunate to be asked to sing lead in a new band being formed by one of the best guitarists in The Finger Lakes area. This was a huge opportunity for Derek that he had to take, so he left Southern Drawl to help form the band Outland! Outland quickly rose to become one of Upstate New York’s premiere country acts, and Derek enjoyed many accolades to his singing! Recently, Derek has left Outland to form his solo act and promote his national debut release to Country Radio, which is already seeing incredible success! Singing karaoke and setting in with a number of other bands Bill’s love for country music grew as well as his fan base. “I loved singing and writing country music and loved watching the people around me but I didn’t think I fit the country image”. Finally in March 2005 he decided it was time and went into a recording studio for the first time, he cut 6 original songs which would eventually land him his first record deal with MGM Nashville. In late 2007 he parted ties with MGM and thought of giving up, but thanks to the support of his family and friends he decided to make an independent effort and in June 2008 he stepped into Astra Studios owned by friend and fellow artist Keith McCoy. “The atmosphere was different the players were different and my song writing style had matured” he recorded Cancun which became his launching pad for things to come. A local radio station 93Q KKBQ owned by COX Media in conjunction with Kenny Chesney’s Next Big Star contest would prove to be another door opening opportunity. From all the submission entered only four could move on to the final showdown and their chance to open for Kenny. Alas to spite his best efforts Bill did not win but he did not give up he started looking for new avenues to be heard and seen. In January 2009 Bill received a call from a representative of 2 time Grammy award winner Larry Butler requesting a meeting at Sony Music Publishing in February of 2009 in Nashville. Can land be cursed or is it just the tortured souls who roam it who are cursed? If man disappeared would the land still be cursed? North Village caught my attention because of the curse of the witch. In doing my research, I found that North Village was doomed long before the witches ever came, if the were, indeed, witches at all. While telling tales of Indian Spirits and witches, I use this platform for my true message, which is the history of pollution and its catastrophic effects on man and earth. We took America from the natives and the first thing we did was to decimate the woods, pollute the rivers and torture the land for anything we could take for profit. We dammed the rivers and killed the salmon and left ourselves and our neighbors to die from the overload of toxins in the environment. I want this book to tell an historical tale in a readable way so as to convey the message that it’s not over. In many ways, we’re still doing this to the earth and to ourselves. The air we breathe is polluted and our tap water is loaded with chemicals man should not ingest. Our food is processed and devoid of nutrition. We coat our bodies with chemically based soaps, creams, makeup, shampoos, and dyes. Then we wonder at the increase in chronic illness in our world. This book can and should be a much-needed wake-up call if we’ll just let it.02:00:00KNIGHT RIDER RADIOnoInterview,Talk,Authurs,Radio,Live Call InsAbout the Author: Rosemary Chaulk.. Their amalgamation of musical genres is being affectionately dubbed "Southern Pop". Their sound is a little of what you’ve heard and plenty of what you haven’t, and, in this case, the familiar introduces the foreign, easily baiting fans and followers with a refreshing urban yet universal sound. Laying prophetic lyrics on top of certifiably hot tracks comes effortless to the prolific songwriters. When asked their musical influences, they cite the likes Prince, Outkast, Boyz II Men, etc, but when asked whose style could be noticed in their new album, they will tell you that this one was inspired by life--their own lives and others. If they were not given an opportunity to contribute to the music industry, their abstract sound would have likely never be heard. But the gods have smiled on Southern Music and Pop fans, alike. Indeed, international ramifications are awaiting this special group. 20MILE is the group that will cause you to forget the everyday trials and struggles of life for a moment, showing the listener that it is, once again, acceptable to daydream, to chill, to be free. By fusing lyrics wrought with tales of ’real life’ and creative tracks, 20Mile coins their own brand and secures their place in music for many years to come.01:00:00KNIGHT RIDER RADIOnoInterview,Music,Artist,Radio,Live Call Ins20MILE is shoving music into unchartered territory, creating boisterous yet groovy melodies that often marry sounds of southern hip-hop beats, Pop, and touchesGood Time Country With A Kickhttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/krradiodj/2009/02/16/Good-Time-Country-With-A-Kick-1Radiohttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/krradiodj/2009/02/16/Good-Time-Country-With-A-Kick-1/#commentshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/krradiodj/2009/02/16/Good-Time-Country-With-A-Kick-1Mon, 16 Feb 2009 01:00:00 GMTGood Time Country With A KickCOUNTRY VARIETY SHOW WITH DJ KNIGHTMAN AND TAMMY MARTINA.02:00:00KNIGHT RIDER RADIOnoCountry Music,Talk,Interviews,Song Request,Call InsCOUNTRY VARIETY SHOW WITH DJ KNIGHTMAN AND TAMMY MARTINA.In Honor Of Della Pacehttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/krradiodj/2009/02/13/In-Honor-Of-Della-PaceRadiohttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/krradiodj/2009/02/13/In-Honor-Of-Della-Pace/#commentshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/krradiodj/2009/02/13/In-Honor-Of-Della-PaceFri, 13 Feb 2009 23:00:00 GMTIn Honor Of Della PaceA SPECIAL SHOW HONORING THE WOMAN BEHIND DAN WALLACE! 00:30:00KNIGHT RIDER RADIOnoSpecial,Talk,Radio,Live Calls,DjsA SPECIAL SHOW HONORING THE WOMAN BEHIND DAN WALLACE!The James Beau Edwards Interview #3http://www.blogtalkradio.com/krradiodj/2009/02/11/the-james-beau-edwards-interview-3Radiohttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/krradiodj/2009/02/11/the-james-beau-edwards-interview-3/#commentshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/krradiodj/2009/02/11/the-james-beau-edwards-interview-3Wed, 11 Feb 2009 01:00:00 GMTThe James Beau Edwards Interview #3JAMES BEAU EDWARDS was born in Meridian, Mississippi; the birthplace of "The Father of Country Music", Jimmie Rodgers. Playing guitar since the age of 5, James absorbed the musical influences that surrounded him; be it Bluegrass, Country, Blues, or Southern Rock. The musical tapestry of the south was fertile ground in which to grow, and by the age of 9 James was performing for crowds numbering in the thousands at bluegrass festivals across the region. " It was a wonderful way to learn, watching, and even getting to perform with living legends. For a kid like me to get to meet, not to mention play with people like that... are you kidding?!" The inevitable happened, and James grew into a renowned musician, and formidable performer. With the influences of his youth melding together into a unique style, James caught the eye of the band Southfire. Freddie May heard Southfire for the first time at the Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville and right away noticed that the lead guitar player (James Edwards) was a standout performer and virtuoso. Freddie says he knew if all else failed, James could be a star. Later when I heard him sing and play guitar with his own three piece band, I knew that star status was even more a reality. When James started presenting me with songs he had written, I knew then that he was going to be a triple threat. One day in the studio with Southfire Danny Bailey said to me, Lets never lose touch with James, because hes what makes this band. When the band disbanded, James was the only one in the band that continued to be serious about being a star, so Freddie and Danny decided to work with him as a solo artist. " I think the Southfire experience was a real turning point for me...maybe I should say the point of no return . It helped me realize that not only did I want this, I had to have it", says James. After the group disbanded James began spending every week in Nashville, and every weekend on the road doing as many as 150 shows in a year, all the while w01:00:00KNIGHT RIDER RADIOnoInterview WMusic,Talk,Radio,Live Calls,DjsJAMES BEAU EDWARDS was born in Meridian, Mississippi; the birthplace of "The Father of Country Music", Jimmie Rodgers. Trey came by his musical interest honestly as he followed his father’s career as a solo artist and as the tenor/lead in the southern gospel quartet Call to Worship. Trey’s family and friends recall he came into this world hardwired for music. At the tender age of 12 Trey discovered his mother’s student guitar and seemed to innately understand the instrument. Having already performed in church and with his dad, the combination of guitar and vocals gravitated quickly to songwriting. At the age of 13 Trey penned his first song “Blue Rider” which many of his fans still acknowledge as one of his greatest compositions. Writing beyond his years, Trey honed his skills to produce haunting melodies to showcase his lyrics which drive home the pain of a broken heart and the joy of love. At 14, Trey assembled his first band and self-produced his demo “The Acoustic Set” including 5 original songs. This demo was later expanded into a 10 song collection released in November of 2006. That was when Dad decided it was time to head 200 miles east to Nashville to help Trey pursue his dream. The very first day Trey hit Nashville, he was showcasing his talent everywhere he went with his dad on his left providing harmonies that only come from close family. They were quickly noticed and asked to record Trey’s Nashville debut CD “All Roads Lead to You”, released in June of 2007. It has been an eventful experience since the CD release party in Music City USA. Trey has performed at several venues opening for the Flat River Band, James Beau Edwards, Rio Grand, and Rick Monroe in addition to headlining at Hard Rock Café on Beale Street in Memphis and The Legendary Beach Wagon in Myrtle Beach, SC. It was always just a hobby playing at private events for fun. I was inspired about 4 years ago when I met Steve Holy. We got to know each other pretty well although his sister Meg was really awsome. After spending the entire day with Steve. That night I was standing there at the stairs to the backstage watching him perform and talking with his sister I knew that was exactly what I wanted to do. I then purchased all the equipment needed to start recording my own songs. I was a printing pressman by day and a songwriter by night. The first year I began my career as a songwriter I found myself so wrapped up in my music. I spent 4 hours a night in the studio writing and all day Sundays. I calculated 2400 hours in the first year in my studio. My big song was when I was sitting in my studio one Sunday and I had this really great rhythm going and I just started kind of making up lyrics and came up with the “Taylor Swift” Idea. After I recorded the song and put it on myspace it just kind of took off. Taylor Swift fansites were playing it all over the place. I never thought the song would go crazy the way it did. Anyway I started getting all these lyricists asking me to help them. Being the kind of good hearted guy I am. I agreed to help them put music to their lyrics and co-write together. So we wrote about 6 songs together. Recently I feel I have been blessed by getting hooked up with Ray Stephenson a Sony signed writer. David while profoundly deaf, has the ability to hear with a Cochlear Implant, which is a modern day device that is surgically implanted. (yes kinda like the Bionic man). He lost his hearing when he was 5 years old, due to a bout with spinal meningitis and Scarlett Fever. He started writing at the age of 12, and started singing as best he could around that age as well, craving the spotlight and attention of family members and friends alike. David has always been a performer to some degree, be it music or comedy. In high school, he made his debut as a comedian in which he performed in local comedy clubs in Tulsa Oklahoma. Jokers comedy club was his first real gig, besides the local talent show. He's also performed at the Tulsa Comedy Club as well. While he enjoys comedy, Music is his passion. David is a very talented melodic writer and Lyricist. he enjoys listening to others play and getting ideas, and listening to lyrics, (reading them mostly) and finding different ways to say things. As his writing talent grew, he became more frustrated by having to rely on others to put the "music" that was in his head, out into the real world. taking the time, he has spent the last 2 years learning to play the acoustic guitar. While he will always have to rely on the help of his fellow musicians, and co-writers for accents and other melody enhancement, his ability to write with a guitar enhances his work, and gives him more musical freedom. David is currently active Member of NSAI, Nashville Songwriters Association International. Prior to moving to Tennessee, he served as one of NSAI's coordinators for the Regional Workshop in Tulsa, Oklahoma. His current role besides being an active member, is serving on the NSAI Adopt-A-Shop committee, that matches pro writers with workshops all over the nation. Growing up mostly in the Rocky Mountain State, Shelby was exposed to many kinds of music, his favorites being Country and Rock ‘n’ Roll. His country influences include George Strait, Randy Travis, and Garth Brooks. Mix in a little Styx and a dab of The Bob’s (an a cappella group), and you have yourself a well rounded singer! Yes, Shelby loves all types of music, but his heart remains deeply rooted in Country. Shelby began singing when he joined the youth group at his church where he sang praise and worship songs as well as solos and duets from time to time. Even though he hadn’t had any vocal training, a member of the Valentine City Chorus asked him to join them. At the age of fourteen, Shelby was the youngest member to have ever joined that barbershop chorus. It was in this group that he was introduced to a capella singing and where he fostered his love for the "no strings attached" type of music and he sang with this group for the next four years. He became a part of the Concert Choir and Show Choir "Chamber Singers" under the direction of Mrs. Cunnimgham (Mrs.C). He reflects, "Mrs. C gave me the strength and courage to follow my dreams." In addition to being a member in the barbershop chorus and high school choir, Shelby was a member of the Colorado Academy of the Arts in Fort Collins, CO. He sang with the "Encore..,” Show Choir for five years, where each year, members were required to re-audition. “You were never assumed to be accepted.” Shelby also taught a few vocal and choreography classes for 7-10 year olds. In 1993, Shelby walked into a local club where there was a karaoke show, and before he knew it, he and three young guys formed the a cappella group, “The Livin’ Daylites”. When I wasn't drawing the copy of the Mona Lisa (eheh) I used to spend my time playing with a little radio, almost obsessed changing stations to find the tunes I had in my mind (..I still do that).. The nightmare started after my parents gave me the Karaoke machine for Christmas at the age of 9...oh boy... you would not have seen me around anymore! I spent every day playing with it, trying to record my version of "Imagine” from John Lennon (I swear I probably recorded that song 150 times!) getting pissed for the limitations of using two tapes.... maybe that's why I got into Pro Tools with such an enthusiasm. Anyway...I spent my adolescence hanging out in the punk scene of my small town and learned to play music...my first band was all girls, rock noise disaster but that's ok, we were 17...blue hair and violet clothes...the dream of every parents! (That was so much fun!!!) I worked with several bands but just in 2004 I decided to start my own project so I embraced my guitar and started to write my songs in italian. In 2006 I started to write songs in english. I moved to L.A. in 2007 and finally recorded my EP "Bad Story”, I don't know how to define it, rock, pop, with some country vibe...whatever you want...that's what came out from me and my guitar....it's just my life....in music.01:30:00KNIGHT RIDER RADIOnoInterview WMusic,Talk,Radio,DeeJays,RetroMusic and Art have always been my passions since I was child, they were my way to escape from reality.. Music has always played a major role in my life starting in Church choir ,lead vocals in several cover bands and now writing my original songs. Growing up listening to different musical styles from Pop,R&B to Country has led me to write incorporating these influences into my own songs. With being a poet and a short story writer in high-school,my lyrics are the first step when I create a song and as the Story evolves the music starts to come alive along the way! My debut Album "Her Time" is written with talented composers such as John Jamieson from Soundhouse Studio in Kilbride,Ontario, who worked with Shania Twain and Kevin Gorman, associate producer with Sony/BMG from KG Records in London,Ontario. 3 songs of that album "Disguise",My Cowboy and "Her Time" have received the titles of "Finalist" and "Runner Up" in the VH1 "Song of the Year Competition"! I was an opening act for Canadian Country Star George Fox in Teeswater,Ontario. Had the pleasure to share the talents of 6- time CCMA guitar player of the year Wendell Ferguson and shared the stage with Glenn Affeldt while touring Ontario in the role of June Carter Cash in the Johnny Cash Tribute "Legend in Black". I went to Nashville with Mark Willms(Keyboard player for Jason McCoy,Diane Chase,John Landry and Barnard and Brohm)after winning the NEW COUNTRY STAR FAVORITE FEMALE Competition and performed my songs at places such as "Fuel,Blue Bar,The Commodore and the Broken Spoke". Currently I am writing new fresh Country arrangements with Mark for my second album. He’s been told by many in Nashville that his voice and melodies simply “make you stop and listen.” It’s easy to become just another singer/songwriter in this town, but when people hear him for the first time singing on stage, they don’t just keep on walking by, they stop and watch. One of Jason’s first gigs in Nashville was at Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge as part of Billy Block’s Locals Only event. He’s quickly become a favorite at other venues such as Stage Write @ Limelight, now Blue Bar, Hotel Indigo in downtown Nashville and Frisky Berry Coffee Company’s Writer’s Night in Franklin. His music has seen plenty of airtime at radio stations in North Florida, South Georgia and South Alabama. As part of the Billy Block show, Jason’s tune “Rose Colored Glasses” was aired on WKDF 103.3. He has co-written with hit songwriters in Nashville and other writers whom are just looking for that first cut. Jason and his long time friend, producer and co-writer Tory Harris teamed up in late 2007 to write eleven original songs to cut Jason’s first country music album. The self-titled album was released on June 13th, 2008 and at the CD Release party alone they sold over 150 copies and were on their way to many more sales. The CD is now available all over the internet including itunes. Jason and his band had generated a nice fan base in the North Central Florida, South Georgia area and Jason decided to make his move to the neon lit streets of Nashville in late June of 2008. He has achieved much success on one of the biggest indie artist sites on the web, ourstage.com, taking home the 1 spot in the Southern Rock genre with “Blue Collar Man” in August ’08 and 1 in the Country genre with his hit song “Southland”. This success brought him a major feature on AOL Music’s Country Artist page as the “Top New Country Artist”. Jason has also had many other top 10 spots on ourstage.com. Holly reaffirmed her talent by the many successes in the local and national vocal competitions she entered. In 2000, she signed with an Independent label in Nashville, TN. Barnes ambient electronica is a refreshing rush of chillout goodness, opening up amazing soundscapes that connect the ears and the minds eye with lush melodies and organic wholeness often missing from the electronic realm. Awakening is a keys based and deeply moving track. Its keyboard line and the overwhelming beauty of its background river of ambient melody make a sky full of clouds in the human heart. I sing lead and harmony, and this is my first rough cut demo that has ever been heard by more than just my friends and/or family. He is the oldest son of rock and country legend Conway Twitty. Born November 25 in Helena Arkansas, Michael is not only carrying on his father's celebrated legacy, he is making a mark of his own. Although Michael Twitty spent much of his early life following the footsteps of his father and other musical greats, one of Michael's earliest memories was of riding a paddle wheel ferry boat down the Mississippi that was captained by his Papaw. His adored Mamaw loving instilled in him the values and integrity that are so important to Michael Twitty. But by age eight music had overtaken his life and Michael found himself under the spotlight on stage with his legendary father. Michael knew right then that this was where he wanted to spend the rest of his life. To Michael Twitty, entertaining an audience has become just as easy as having a conversation with friends. Consequently, Michael often changes his planned song list, saying he prefers to read the audience and give them exactly what they want. Whether it is country top 40, old time rock and roll, country classics or classic Conway. Michael instinctively knows what each audience will enjoy most. And one successful show after the other has proven that Michael Twitty does indeed know how to read an audience. Michael truly possesses a rare ability to reach out and establish a very special relationship with his fans. As did Conway, Michael can take an audience inside the music. Whether it is the tender meaning of a soulful ballad, or the frenzied excitement of a rockin', stompin' dance tune, Michael's audiences live each song along with this irresistible entertainer. His infectious energy, tremendous vocal ability, and timely wit positively keep audiences on the edge of their seat for the entire performance and on their feet at the close of his show. He brings his own style and sound to the music world, which consist of catchy rhymes laid over instrumentals that just seem to grab your attention. As a kid, K-HA grew up around all different kinds of music and was exposed to all different genres. This fueled his love of rhythms, beats, and music itself. In 2003, K-HA started really getting into hip-hop music during his freshmen year of college where he started producing instrumentals and rapping over them solely as a hobby. As time progressed people started getting into his music. He would hand out cds to friends, who would pass them on to their friends and so on. He became known for his hot songs such as “Pop It” and “My Life” which he produced in his dorm room using a cheap mic and Music Maker 2005. It was the word of mouth method that was used around college and back at home in Charlotte to get his name out. The next thing you know his music was being played at frat parties and in clubs around High Pointe and Charlotte, anywhere that would give him exposure. In present day and time K-HA has become serious about making it onto the music scene and has slowed down on the production end of things and is focusing his skills solely on song writing and rapping. All his songs are now recorded at Asylum Digital Recording Studios of Charlotte, and are mixed and mastered professionally by Studio B Mastering. Currently he is working with Kiss 95.1; Charlottes’ hit music station, to break one of his singles and is focused on creating a buzz and getting all the exposure he can get.01:30:00KNIGHT RIDER RADIOnoHip Hop,Talk,Fans,Radio,DjsKris, better known as K-HA, is a new artist out of the Queen City, Charlotte North Carolina. Mike thought a music talk show would make a great radio show. After failing to convince radio stations/companies that this format could be good for radio, he gave up. A couple of years later, Mike was introduced to podcasting. He approached Brian and Tom about the idea of discussing concerts on a podcast and they said let’s do it! Concert Blast formed a family friendly podcast and the first podcast was uploaded in May of 2005. Concert Blast consists mainly of the Classic Rock genre, but not limited to it. Concert Blast consistently stays in the Top 100 overall podcasts on the Podcast Alley Chart (from more than 30,000) and usually in the Top 10 of the Music Section. The classic rock section of about.com has recognized Concert Blast as one of the Top 5 Classic Rock podcasts (the other four were radio stations). His dream of recording has come true and now he can share the enthusiasm he has for country music with an ever growing audience that is finding, listening to and enjoying his first CD, 'Ordinary Man'. The twelve song recording is full of well crafted songs he has written himself and indications are he will have a long career ahead of him as a singer/songwriter. The reaction to his music has inspired Bobby to dream again about new recording plans in the future. He knows so well that the 'dream was a long time coming and in a recent Nashville radio interview, Bobby became reflective about how far he has come with his Country Music Dream and how his Family has played such an important part since the beginning. As a young boy growing up in Texas he still fondly recalls times when he attended country music concerts with his Mother, Bobbie, and, if he was lucky,on occasion he would wait around after the show to get a chance to meet the stars in person. Most memorable to Bobby was the time Conway Twitty spent over five minutes talking with him and sharing his thoughts on life and music. This was an inspiration to Bobby and it made him believe in his own talents to have a career in Country Music. This same spirit and view on life continues with Bobby as he now encourages younger musicians in pursuit of their dreams. At one of the earliest concerts Bobby can recall, it was not a meeting with a star, but more of an interference with a stage show that makes Bobby laugh in telling friends and in radio interviews. It happened when Bobby was eight years old and was fortunate to be in the first row of an 'Opry' style country music show. Bobby had just finished off a bag of popcorn and was soon to find out that he was going to put a 'pop' into the show. The theater was packed, and Te01:30:00KNIGHT RIDER RADIOnocountry music, talk, info, radio, djsThe Texas 'Ordinary Man' Country Singer The Musical Journey of Bobby G Cargill Songwriter / Singer / Recording Artist Written by Mel Shaw for MSMP Publications
