The City of Eugene is talking about banning natural gas from all new construction and one of the justifications is that hydraulic fracturing or “Fracking” is used to produce it. My guest this week will be Susan Foster. Susan spent 30-years as a petroleum engineer and actually designed hydraulic fracturing wells. She will about what fracking is and why it is needed and then we will review the risks and safety record of the industry. She will also be available to answer your questions on the subject so give us a call!

Susan Foster is a retired Petroleum Engineer with more than 30 years of Oil & Gas industry experience.  She graduated from The Pennsylvania State University in 1984 with a degree in Petroleum & Natural Gas Engineering.  During her career, she worked for Equitable Resources Exploration (now EQT), Penn Virginia Oil & Gas, and PDC Energy.  Her job experience includes well completions production engineering and reserve estimation.
