Boxing is a sport of timing, without question. Sometimes apart from the timing shown by one fighter against another in the ring, boxing is also about career timing and trajectory.

As boxing's glamor division, heavyweight has consistently drawn in more eyes and ears than the others. Even so, making heavyweight fights at the right time -- and sometimes making them at all -- proves to be too difficult.

From John L. Sullivan vs Peter Jackson to Lennox Lewis vs Riddick Bowe II, historians Aris Pina and Patrick Connor team back up on Knuckles and Gloves Boxing Radio to talk about these wonky heavyweight matchups.
