Candidate Trump repeatedly promised to build a wall on the US-Mexican border that would be paid for by Mexico. This has not happened yet and the refusal of the US Senate to allocate $5 billion for the wall has prevented the latest non budget from being approved, effectively shutting down 10% of the Federal government. Would construction of the wall actually stop most illegal immigration? Is the wall a real solution or yet another political issue designed to divide and distract us?
