Our beloved pet, and adorable shih-tzu, died this week. She's been a source of daily joy for 9 1/2 years, and we are hurting. We'll talk about a woman in the Bible who really knows what it likes to grieve -- Naomi, in the book of Ruth.

We'll read the Christmas story, acting it out with the nativity. Logan's idea for a new Christmas tradition is to sing "Happy Birthday" to Jesus, and we'll do that. It's Aubri's bedtime, so we'll see how it goes!

There was this rich man who died, went to hell, and is very thirsty. Lazarus, the poor man who begged from him every day, went to heaven. Will Lazarus give him some water? Can he? Luke 16:19-31

Before we decorate the Christmas tree, we're talking about the time an angel visited Mary and announced the news that God would be stepping onto the earth as her virgin-born baby. Logan does much of the reading.
