in 2018 Vice Admiral L. Lewis was named commander of the US Navy Second Fleet and commander NATO Joint Forces Command Norfolk in 2018. A native of Los Altos, California he is a 1985 graduate of the US Naval Academy. The Naval Aviator has flown over 100 combat missions, has over 5,300 flight hour, and 1,100 arrested landings. 

The interview was conducted in conjunction with the Navy League Council of New York City and held at American Legion Post 754 located in the New York Athletic Club Building in Manhattan.
