Lisa C. Clark - Finding and Living Your Passion

I discovered my passion by combining art and science,and my left and right brain skills,as a suddenly single midlife mother seeking work.At my then-nine year old daughter's encouragement,I decided to reach back,way back to when I was less than 10,and combine my natural inherited talents,childhood joys and early work experience into what would become Textiles for Thinkers,and e-commerce brand Thinker Clothing,and interest in other start-up ventures.Lisa C.Clark,MBA is Founder/CEO of Textiles for Thinkers,and has been incubating Kids Go Virtual,an online world targeting K-12 learning,invited by VentureBeat to pitch at fall DEMO Conf.A global,strategic consumer and technology marketer with product development and branding expertise,she recently led design of SIMtone Corporation's K-12 online cloud computing environment.As entrepreneur and corporate team player,Ms.Clark enjoys staying close to the venture community and has led,consulted to and incubated a range of start-ups from social networking and mobile advertising to the men's Chinese suiting brand favorited by Warren Buffett,and retail ventures in international artisan imports and gourmet groceries.She architected Sun Microsystems' computer workstation Campus Dealer retail channel,launched through top Science,Tech, Engineering and Math"STEM" campus bookstores across the US and Asia,and was a management consultant at Robert Nathan Associates.Ms. Clark has also designed interiors and renovated and resold homes profitably across the U.S.She holds an MBA in Consumer and International Marketing from George Washington University,and a BA in Political Science/Economics from Georgetown University.Ms. Clark is an invited member of the McKinsey Online Executive Panel and Gerson Lehrman Group management consultants,authors www.RealandVirtualHumanBehavior.blogspot.com and her portfolio is at www.Coroflot.com/LisaCClark.
