Sharon L. Simmons has been busy.  She is the creator of the revolutionary iGotEm app.  You can download the app here.  This community-oriented app transforms everyday citizens into crime fighters.  But she di dnot stop there.  She has become and STEM advocate for under represented communities.  As part of her efforts, she has recently received an award from YesWeCode founder, Van Jones, while she was particiapting in the first ever HackaThon to take place during the 2014 Essence Music Festival in New Orleans.  Simmons is also a published author.  Her new book How to Get the App Outta Your Head (available on Kindle) tells her inspiring story and provides a road map for would be technology entrepreneurs.  Sharon drops by on Thursday to share with us what inspired her to create a mobile phone app from her head that has led her all the way to Ghana.  This is an inspiring and fascinating story that everyone should hear.  Don't miss it!
