On a special edition of This Week in Oncology at 11AM Pacific/2PM Eastern on Friday, May 17th, 2013 we meet  two Program Directors from the National Cancer Institute (NCI) supporting the joint effort between the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC), and the NCI titled 'Crowds Care for Cancer: Supporing Survivors' Challenge.

Joining us are Abdul Shaikh, PhD, Program Director, Health Communication & Informatics, National Cancer Institute (NCI), and Carla Parry, PhD, Program Director, NCI Process of Care Research Branch, Behavioral Research Program.

The challenge is the latest in an ongoing series of public/private collaboration and cooperation designed to stimulate innovation in the healthcare and healthtech space while energizing a full court press towards both the meaningful use of digital connectivity in oursuit of  the 'triple aim'.
