On the Wednesday, December 12th, 2012 broadcast at 1:30PM Pacific/4:30PM Eastern our special guest is Linda Bosserman, MD, FACP, and President of Wilshire Oncology, see complete bio here.

It took a while, but we finally snagged this dyanamo in community oncology with a passion for the oncology medical home. We'll discuss the oncology medical home and implications for oncology ACOs.

Dr Bosserman received her medical degree, completed internship and residency in internal medicine and served on the faculty at Stanford University. This was followed by oncology fellowships and faculty appointments at Harvard Medical School, Dana-Faber Cancer Institute and Brigham and Women's Hospital.  She returned home to southern California where she has been a community medical oncologist at Wilshire Oncology since 1990.

Women's cancer care, cancer prevention, clinical trials and quality cancer care delivery in community practice are Dr. Bosserman's primary areas of interest.  While Medical Director of the Robert and Beverly Lewis Family Cancer Care Center in Pomona California, she pioneered an integrated psychosocial oncology program and established the Breast Health Center for diagnostic services.  She also directed the Comprehensive Breast Health Task Force, a multidisciplinary community coalition to evaluate and promote high quality, coordinated breast health for the diverse and multicultural residents of the Inland and Pomona Valleys.  She now serves as the medical director of Breast Health at San Antonio Community Hospital.
