Income inequity and psychiatric oppression

The Mental Health System is often referred to as a one-way street since so many succumb to it and never make it back. The disabling effects of psychiatric drugs are only partially to blame. Why do so many people end up on disability payments and what does this ultimately indicate about the Mental Health System? Statistics show that fewer than 1% of those who were on federal disability in 2011 have made it back to work. Is psychiatry creating an economic culture of disability?
