Joy Radio is proud to support Words & Music-A Literary Feast in New Orleans – Nov. 28 – Dec. 2. On Oct. 11, at 11 am, ET we will be interviewing Lucy Ferris, author of THE LOST DAUGHTER, who will be attending W&M with her agent Al Zuckerman, founder of Writers House and her editor, Jackie Cantor of Berkley House. They will be doing W&M’s annual Menage a Trois session on the important three-way relationship of author, agent, editor.

Born in St. Louis, Lucy Ferriss has lived on both coasts, in the middle, and abroad. She is the author of nine books, mostly fiction. Her novel The Lost Daughter was published in February 2012 and is a Book-of-the-Month pick. Al Zuckerman founded Writers House in 1974, and has been a midwife to books in all adult categories, fiction and non-fiction. And lately he’s been having some fun with YA and Middle Grade works. He’s interested in working with a few more novelists, literary and commercial, especially authors whose works have received reviews praising their artistry, but whose sales have been only so-so. He’s good at launching and relaunching writers of fiction and non-fiction whose stories are highly dramatic and whose characters are memorable.

Jackie Cantor is an Executive Editor at The Berkley Publishing Group, a division of Penguin. Prior to joining Berkley in August 2005, she was a Vice President and Executive Editor at Bantam Dell, where her list included a wide variety of fiction and nonfiction titles in all formats.  Ms. Cantor will lead this year's Menage à Trois discussion with Lucy and Lucy's agent, Al Zuckerman.
