This past week my cousin Shirley B and I celebrated the life of her mother Shirley as she transitioned from earth to be with the Father. Funeral planning and execution were once again an opportunity for us to work together and reflect. Early in our youth we began attending family funerals and over the years, we have worked together to plan and coordinate funerals including our parents, aunts, uncles, siblings, etc. As we worked together to assemble the funeral program for her mother, it became clear that we are now elders in our family and the craft must be passed on to our children. On this blog talk segment, we will talk about family legacy and life lessons learned.
