I have been intricately involved in the movie making process & let me tell you, it's not for the faint hearted, but in the middle of a 2 week shoot for a feature film, while working full time & being a Mom, I had so many moments of exhileration that I know I'd do it again in a second.  But where to start....obviously, the script....does that seem daunting?? They say, 'What happens in Las Vegas, stays in Las Vegas' for a number of reasons.  Here in 'Sin City' the rules are bent & the word 'strip' doesn't just describe the main street of the city than never sleeps. With, reportedly more strip clubs per capita than any other U.S. city, with the exception of Portland (Portland?), 'Gentlemen's Club's' in Las Vegas are BIG BUSINESS!!  'Stripping', often referred to as the '2nd oldest profession', isn't exactly on the list of careers that most parent's might choose for their daughter, or son, for that matter (although, there seems to be somewhat of a double standard judgment reserved for female strippers).  Meet Teshelle Sandwick.  Teshelle doesn't live in Las Vegas, but Teshelle knows pretty much all there is to know about the industry that drives much of the economy of 'Sin City'.  Teshelle has something to say about what we can all learn about ourselves from the the people who work at & patronage said estabishments.  Let's just say she's got an insider's perspective that most people could never wrap their heads around.....until today :)  I Am the Western Woman, taking it all off!!! Two years ago, MacDonald and a friend started the London plastic bag project, trying to get Londoners to stop using plastic bags. A few months later she partnered with the organizers of some local summer festivals in figuring out how to reduce the amount of waste generated from the London festivals. That summer the London Green Festivals team, led by MacDonald, helped divert half the waste generated by the festivals from the landfill. MacDonald said the more she read and learned about the destruction of the environment, the more she felt compelled to do something for future generations. After show chats are almost as great as during the show chats & often that is where new show ideas come to life.  Today after our 'Living ON Purpose' show, Elaine & Penn & I were having a conversation about the 'inclusivity' concept of I Am the Western Woman.  Elaine mentioned that she had received some feedback in that regard.   The feedback came from a wonderful & compassionate woman who feels that stating that 'we are all Western women', meaning EVERYONE, is an unrealistic concept & that women in Westernized culture have a duty to speak out for women in other cultures who we perceive as 'oppressed' in some way or ways.  We spoke at some length about this & decided that we needed to do a show on this topic.
