You can help Stop the Stigma of Mental Illness.

1 out of 5 U.S. Youth lives with a mental health condition, but only 50% receive the help they need. You can help change that.

Nicola Survanshi, MPH is the Executive Director for ReachOut USA, an organization that promotes youth mental health awareness. ReachOut USA is a non-profit that meets youth where they are to deliver peer support and mental health information in a safe and supportive online space. Nicola chaired the Youth Plenary session at the 7th International Together Against Stigma conference in San Francisco, was invited to attend President Obama’s White House Summit on Mental Health.

She’s also presented at youth and mental health conferences. Nicola strongly affirms that online resources and mobile technology can improve the lives of teens and young adults. She believes technology can be instrumental in providing youth with tools to increase resilience and practice mental wellness. Nicola has joined a research project to investigate how texting can promote empowerment and health. Nicola realized her passion for helping youth after starting her career in the U.S. Air Force as an Intelligence Officer. She went on to pursue a Master's Degree from Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health.
