Dr. Ridgway, DVM, is the veterinarian at the Orange County Animal Services in Orlando.  He authored How to Treat Your Dogs and Cats with Over-the-Counter Drugs, an easy-to-use guide for pet owners to correctly use over-the-counter drugs to treat their ailing pets.

It provides safe, tried-and-true alternatives to high-priced pet medicines and is the only authoritative guide that details the proper use of over-the-counter drugs to treat pets.

In addition, it alerts pet owners to the ailments requiring prompt attention by a veterinarian rather than home treatment. Dr. Ridgway is a diplomate in the American College of Preventive Medicine and in the College of Laboratory Animal Medicine.
