Her most recent film, Toxic Bust: Chemicals and Breast Cancer, won the prestigious Cine Golden Eagle Award, and is being used by environmental health and breast cancer advocates around the country. Megan won the Emerging Talent Award from the Los Angeles Outfest for her feature length film The Midwife’s Tale, the UCLA Theater Arts Alumni Spotlight Award for her fictional short First Base, a short fiction film about first kisses, girlfriends and busting up. Megan also won a Dore Schary Award for her documentary, Single Mothers: Living On the Edge. The film, And then Came Lola, gives a not so subtle nod to the popular film, Run, Lola, Run and a sexy, lesbian romp. After an advertisement submitted to Facebook was rejected for being too "adult", the film skyrocketed to the hearts and minds of activists all over the world. While obtaining a B.A. in creative arts and a minor in theology, he also went to great lengths attempting to change his sexuality from gay to straight in an ex-gay ministry -- to no avail. That experience set him on a journey of discovery that ultimately resulted in Jallen earning his Doctorate of Education in Sexology from The Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality in San Francisco. This has equipped him to teach human sexuality at the university level as well as consult in private practice. His speciality is innovative perspectives in sex education.
