Amy Barth was abused as a child by a young boy in her neighborhood and as she grew older it led her to being abused again by a family friend and member of her Temple. Shortly after that ended she developed an eating disorder. It took her more than 20 years to face and find recovery. Today, she is the Founder of Safe Girls, Strong Girls (www.SafeGirlsStrongGirls.org) and Camp CADI (where young CSA "thrivers" come to share their stories, engage in art and music therapy and more...sometimes for free). With her love of writing ignited in high school, she majored in liberal arts and theatre at Hunter College. Harris interned at the Roundabout Theatre on Broadway in New York City and acted in community theatre, followed by a stint on the sci- soap Dark Shadows. Her passion for medieval history led her to write The Quest for Excalibur and Excalibur and the Holy Grail. In 2004, Angelica partnered with Corey Blake (Chairman of the Dream for Writers of the Round Table Inc., and Writers of the Round Table Press) to develop her third book, Excalibur Reclaims Her King, which is being adapted into a screenplay. Harris and Blake spoke about their work at the Virginia Reading Conference in 2006. In this book, Harris invented a Pagan language using the Druid language she studied from Celtic mythology to create the linguistics of the speech. She promises this book will be an adventure to her readers—both historically and magically! In addition to novels and dozens of articles and short stories, Angelica was commissioned in 2005 by the Titanic Museum in Florida and Nova Scotia to develop a historical piece for display in the museums. She is the Project Manager of the “Hall of Imagination,” a reading and fantasy room in a children’s store called “Frankie’s Playce” in Queens. Quantum Physics says that everything is vibration and there are only 2 kinds of vibrations - high and low. The things that keep our vibration low are our beliefs, poor self-esteem, unresolved childhood issues, associating with negative people and not having an awareness of how much they are impacting you. Terri will teach you how to raise your vibration through grounding, meditation, going into "no mind", energy healing to remove childhood blocks, developing an awareness of these blocks, and striving to keep your vibration high by choice through positive thoughts, feelings and affirmations. Terri will be teaching this skill and how to develop all of your own intuitive abilities for a healthier, happier, more abundant life at her upcoming bootcamps in San Jose on October 24th and in Las Vegas on December 5th. It is very likely that you know a woman who is being mentally physically or sexually abused. It could be your friend, sister, neighbor or co-worker. The only way to break the cycle of abuse is to take action!!! Alida Fehily will share with us her story and how she broke the cycle. Many women find that abuse is difficult to name or even talk about. Some women fear that no one would believe them, yet some of them may just be in a state of denial or fear the consequences of speaking up. The problem is that the longer they stay in an abusive relationship, the greater would be the toll on their self-esteem. They are very likely to become depressed and anxious and even wonder if the abuse is their fault. They may feel totally helpless. Please join us for this inspiring, motivational event!
