God is a God of second chances. The Israelites knew the importance of celebrating the Lord’s Feasts of Passover. Some of them were not able to celebrate Passover at God’s appointed time because they were defiled by reason of a dead body or was on a journey far off as stated in Numbers 9:10. They knew the consequences of not obeying as stated in Numbers 9:13, “even the same soul shall be cut off from among his people: because he brought not the offering of the Lord in his appointed season, that man shall bear his sin.” The Lord spoke to Moses who told them in Numbers 9:11-12, “The fourteenth day of the second month at even they shall keep it, and eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs. .”
I am asking Jews and Gentiles with God’s approval to join me by keeping the Lord’s Feasts of Passover and The Feast of Unleavened Bread in the second month because we have not done it as it is written (2 Chronicles 30:5).
We are in the middle of the God’s appointed time leading up to Pentecost/Shavout, but many of us missed Passover and The Feast of Unleavened Bread held last month. We are to count the Omer daily as per Leviticus 23:15-16. Are you Counting the Omer Daily until Pentecost/Shavout? An example of the Counting of the Omer is at http://www.chabad.org/holidays/sefirah/omer-count.asp?date=5/5/2016.
We are commanded not to come to God empty-handed three times a year: The Feast of Unleavened Bread, The Feast of Weeks, and The Feast of Tabernacles (Deuteronomy 16:16-18). Since many of God’s people have missed giving an offering to God for the Feast of Unleavened Bread in the first month, now you have a chance until May 30, 2016 to give an offering to God for the Feast of Unleavened Bread in the second month thanks to His grace and mercy.
