Sequestration and the breakdown of the normal budgeting process has left many agencies uncertain as to how much money — if any — they will have to spend in the year ahead.

With this in mind, and many agencies being faced with doing more with less, 2014 will be the year of leveraging key innovations for remaining effective and mission focused.

The technologies that will shape government IT in 2014 include moving to more virtualized environments, collaboration tools, mobile strategies for empowering employees in the field, as well as dealing with more Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs).

These are a few of the insights provided by a podcast panel of experts from Iron Bow, which included Eric Oberhofer, Data Center Practice Lead; Josh Finke, Collaboration Practice Lead; Ryan Sobel, Secure Mobility Practice Lead; and Dan Nowak, Principle Security Architect.
