Huffard is VP/Dean and Professor at Harding School of Theology, in Memphis, Tennessee. He has been teaching leadership and missions for 28 years. In 1997 he received the Distinguished Teacher Award from Harding University. He also served as an elder at the Church of Christ at White Station for ten years. His cross-cultural experiences began as a teenager when his parents moved to Jerusalem, Jordan in 1963. He returned to the USA in 1967 and after graduating from Lubbock Christian University (A.A.), Harding University (B.A.), and Harding School of Theology (M.A. and M.Th.) he served a church in Nazareth, Israel and taught Bible at the Galilee Christian High School. He completed a Ph.D. in Inter-Cultural Studies at Fuller Theological Seminary in 1985 with a focus on the Muslim-Christian encounter. He has ten years of urban ministry experience in Los Angeles and Memphis. He lectures on leadership, missions, biblical archaeology, and the Muslim-Christian encounter. He was a participant in a faith-based diplomacy project with leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood in Amman, Jordan in 2011.  For a couple of decades he has served as a consultant for church leaders and mission teams. He consulted or participated in leadership retreats and seminars in 30 churches in AR, CA, CT, FL, GA, KS, IN, MO, MT, NC, NJ, OR, TN, and TX as well as in Canada and Switzerland. He has assisted with leadership development for mission teams to Africa, Australia, Middle East, South America and Europe. Every year for the past 27 years he has taught a course on “Spiritual Leadership.” He also teaches a Doctor of Ministry seminar on Developing Leaders. He has also hosted over 25 tour groups to Greece, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan and Israel. For 14 of those years, he chaired the university’s Bible department. He also taught at Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tenn., and served as the first chair of Lipscomb’s master’s degree program in Biblical studies. For 14 years he was pulpit minister for the Granny White Church of Christ, next to Lipscomb’s campus. Woodson retired in the mid-1990s but continued to speak at gospel meetings and workshops for preachers and elders. He is listed as a faculty member at Bear Valley Bible Institute of Denver. He has served as Deputy Group Leader for a 70-person Nuclear Design and Risk Analysis Group at the Los Alamos National Laboratory, and also served as chairman of the 15th, 16th, 17th, and 25th Symposiums on Space Nuclear Power and Propulsion. In addition to his duties with Apologetics Press, he presently serves as Nuclear Research Manager at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center where he provides guidance and technical advice on research and development related to the design, development, and utilization of space nuclear power and propulsion systems. He has been the lead author of more than two dozen technical papers related to space nuclear power and propulsion, as well as additional papers related to Accelerator Transmutation of Waste, Plutonium Disposition, and other topics.
