Dr. Michelle Mitcham, also known as Dr. Michelle is a university professor, lecturer, diversity consultant, family law mediator, family court consultant, counselor, and motivational speaker. She has extensive experience as a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator, Parenting Coordinator, and school counselor. Dr. Mitcham has presented regionally, nationally and internationally on topics such as conflict resolution, personal empowerment, high-conflict divorce and children “caught in the middle” of divorce, school guidance issues, diversity, advocacy in counseling, cultural competence, workplace conflict, multi-culturally sensitive leadership, and family law mediation topics. She has also appeared on regional and national television presenting on these topics. Dr. Michelle has been featured on radio, presenting “No More Drama” topics such as increasing self-esteem/self concept, de-stressing your life, dealing with anger, overcoming obstacles and personal loss, personal empowerment, finding your voice, healthy relationships, effective communication skills and strategies for dealing with high-conflict divorce. Dr. Michelle also appeared on the “Oprah Winfrey Show”. Dr. Michelle was most recently recognized with a National award from the Association of Multicultural Counseling and Development (AMCD) in March 2010. She is a Lifestyle Columnist for several national newspapers.
