Chatiela Underwood, a native of Dayton, Ohio, is a single mother of two beautiful blessings. A graduate of Central State University class of 2006 with Bachelor of Art degree in Political Science, Chatiela also studied Criminal Justice. With a desire to further her education, she studied for her Masters in Criminal Justice Executive Management. Currently a Master Candidate with Capella University class of 2016, Chatiela is studying for her MPA while being a stay-at-home mom with her two children.

Chatiela is very active and engaged in the community and the education sector. She has passionately worked in higher education and directed schools across the country in business development for over ten years. Ms. Underwood, a motivational speaker who truly believes in inspiring others through her testimony, loves to spend quality time with friends, family, when not traveling. She is sophisticatedly passionate about making a difference in the lives of others.

Chatiela was encouraged to share her compelling story by writing her debut novel, Eyes Wide Shut, is a provocative story full of love, hope, betrayal, deceit, and living of double lives. It brings about awareness to people living with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Mental Illnesses, Abuse, and AIDS. It exposes what happens behind closed doors when a solider came home with mental disorders, as a result of the war. 

After a failed relationship Storm finds out her boyfriend is living a double life and is sleeping with men. Feeling like a hopeless romantic, she decides to throw in the relationship towel until . . .
