The Conscious Underground was founded in 2012 and based in Toronto. The formation of the group was based on the lack of consciousness on today’s music scene. Lead member Allan Agard moved to Canada with his family as a child In 1981. Originally from the island of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, he found the cultural content of the Caribbean to be lacking. That soon became a driving theme for him.
In those days, the music scene in Canada was all about fluff and no substance. Allan’s association with musicians, poets and other creative souls laid the groundwork for the formation of The Conscious Underground. The group’s commitment to consciousness and truth is reflected in many of their writings now totaling over 90 songs.
The focus of The Conscious Underground is to inject GOD’s consciousness into the world thus revealing the truth. The group has songs to suit all occasions in the human experience.
To that end, we remain committed to furthering the cause of those who are too weak to rise up and speak up for their rights as human beings.
