Navina Najat Haidar is a curator at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. She recently opened an exhibition on the art of India’s Deccan Sultans. Before that she was deeply involved in the planning of the museum’s Islamic galleries which opened in 2011. Educated at the universities of Delhi, London and Oxford, Navina has written and lectured on Indian painting and Islamic art.
