Kathy Jane & her daughters set out almost 9 years ago to spend a day looking at beutiful exotic animals. She had no intention of finding a very sick bear cub, adopting him and then bringing him home that day. He was named Boo Boo.


Nearly 9 years later, Kathie Jane lost her job and knew she could no longer care for Boo Boo who now weighed nearly 450lbs.
So she made it her passion to find him the perfect home that he could live out the rest of his years. Happy and loved.

The media backlash and the story the rescue spun made the headlines "RESCUED BLACK BEAR TRAPPED ON LEASH IN BACK YARD FOR 10 YEARS" took away all Kathie and her family had done for Boo Boo for the 9 years he was with them. 

Now Kathie is speaking up and telling the truth about Boo Boo, who has now been named Memphis.
