Al Diaz and co-host Steve Ryals share their insights on “Drunk with Wonder”

Steve Ryals, author of Drunk with Wonder: Awakening to the God Within, went from homeless and shooting drugs in San Francisco's Haight-Ashbury district at seventeen to graduating from U. C. Berkeley on the Dean's List six years later. Steve was raised in a home filled with love but also filled with hurt, anger, secrets and both emotional and physical abuse. Not surprisingly, Steve took to drugs and alcohol like a Rottweiler takes to delivery people. Though it took decades, Steve has been completely substance use free for over eight years.
